Demolition
L&D Contracting carry out all classes of Demolition and Asbestos Removal with more than ninety (90) major demolitions successfully completed in Brisbane. We demolish and remove all types of structures ranging from small iron sheeted sheds to very large reinforced concrete high rise buildings. Included in our portfolio are the successful demolitions of several multi-storey high-rise buildings within Brisbane’s CBD main thoroughfare and pedestrian precinct.
Typically, following demolition approval, we will arrange all necessary permits and fees and provide a Safe Work Plan that fully conforms with the Workplace Health & Safety Act and all other Regulations, Acts, Standards and Advice Guidelines relating to demolition. We ensure protection of the public and workers always by installing safety security zones, gantries and scaffolding wherever necessary and providing all road and footpath closures, traffic control and barrier fencing as required. Also, prior to any work taking place on a suspended floor or roof, we obtain a certificate from a Registered Structural Engineer to confirm the safe floor loading and that the correct plant and equipment has been selected.
Fostering and maintaining good relationships with our neighbours is very important to us and we make personal contact with all affected parties, prior to any works commencing to inform them of forthcoming works and how we intend to manage and minimise any inconvenience. We minimise noise with the deployment of sympathetic plant including semi-silenced attachments, and during the work we use water misting devices and sprays to suppress dusts arising and all trucks are covered during transport of rubbles; sediment control devices are installed on site and surrounding roads kept free of dirt at all times.
The company proudly recovers and recycles approximately ninety per cent of all demolition stuffs.
