Based at Northgate in Brisbane, L&D Contracting is ideally situated to address all the earthwork needs of Brisbane and maintains a large fleet of small and large plant including excavators, hydraulic breakers, dozers, compactors, graders, rollers and trucks all ideally suited for bulk earthworks. Whether on rural sites or in the city, the Company has demonstrated on more than two hundred and fifty (250) large and small earthwork projects that when it comes to shifting dirt in a hurry L&D Contracting is very hard to beat, for example;
Site preparation and excavation for a correctional centre at a rural south-east Queensland location, saw 400,000 m3 pre-ripping and pushing by Dozer assisting large Excavators to load trucks and cart at maximum production rates (equivalent to scraper) from major cut to fill on-site. Supported by large Compactors and Vibrating Rollers, the excavation, formation and construction of building platforms under Level 1 Supervision was achieved in record time, less than twenty weeks, in sync with building works taking place at the same time.
In a mid-west, Queensland location, the L&D Contracting excavation plant and truck team successfully delivered 200,000m2 of building platforms and 14klms of roads again in record time as part of the infrastructure and pre-construction works for the LNG pipeline. Specifically, for the roads and platforms, we undertook local field investigation and identified a source nearby that we mined, crushed, processed, conditioned and incorporated into the works as a fully conforming product.
Within the Brisbane Region, whether the requirement is for a mini-excavator, D8 dozer, or anything in between, we are in a unique position to provide plant to all sites at very short notice. In addition, our large fleet of road trucks fitted with weight scales and our experienced route planners, enables us to dispose spoil or import fill very quickly without disruption to city traffic.
