Stormwater Culverts
L&D Contracting have constructed more than sixty (60) main storm water and culvert systems associated with new building constructions and developments in Brisbane. Past works have ranged from the installation of small systems less than 900dia up to 2700×2700 triple-cell culverts.
We fully coordinate with the client, design engineer and authorities; and we design, plan, construct and certify all necessary temporary works (e.g. shoring).
The work generally commences with securing and fencing off the work area and includes traffic management and pedestrian control. Following, we commence trench excavation and then construct base slabs, install culverts and link slabs. L&D Contracting provide all necessary dewatering which is undertaken using pump to settlement tanks and lime dosing (Ph) where required prior to discharge as clean water. Finally, all existing surfaces are reinstated as part of the backfilling process.
We provide complete As-Constructed survey drawings, undertake audit inspections, attend all ‘On Maintenance’ and Off Maintenance’ inspections and coordinate lodgement of documentation to each authority’s requirement.
